12 regular pentagonal faces, built on the golden ratio.
“The god used it to trace the plan of the universe.” - Plato -
The Dodecahedron has haunted humanity's greatest minds, revealing itself to each of them, a little more, century after century.
Aristotle gave it a name: aithêr, the ether. That which contains all the others without being any of them. Leonardo da Vinci gave it a shape, a presence; he drew it from every angle. Newton gave it an identity, the invisible force binding the stars to one another. Einstein, in 1920, gave it a role: no longer an invisible fluid, but the set of physical properties existing in space even when empty of matter.
Twelve pentagonal faces. Thirty edges. Twenty vertices. Within every pentagon sleeps the golden ratio. φ = 1.618.
Closed. The geometry complete in itself. The archetypal fulfillment.
Open. To hold a plant, a candle, a crystal, and to settle, naturally.
Glass is a fragile material. Given the complexity of some creations, slight imperfections may appear; they bear witness to the handmade work.
Clean gently with a microfiber cloth, without applying any product directly onto the piece (put it on the cloth instead). The pieces are not 100% watertight: do not immerse them, and do not leave them hanging outdoors for long periods.
Do not hang the geometries above people's heads in living spaces. Favor a spot close to a wall instead, or place them at head height.
