Icosidodecahedron

32 faces · 20 triangles and 12 pentagons: the meeting of the icosahedron and the dodecahedron.

It is the confluence of the icosahedron and the dodecahedron, their meeting point. Water and ether fused. It was Kepler who, in 1619, gave it a name, in Harmonices Mundi: the hidden music in the orbits of the planets. All its coordinates contain the golden ratio. At every vertex, triangle and pentagon live side by side. Two geometric languages. 32 faces, 60 edges, all identical, each one separating a triangle from a pentagon. 30 vertices. At each vertex, 2 triangles and 2 pentagons meet. And within its edges, six regular decagons are secretly drawn.

Open or closed

Closed. The geometry complete in itself. The archetypal fulfillment.

Open. To hold a plant, a candle, a crystal, and to settle, naturally.

Glass is a fragile material. Given the complexity of some creations, slight imperfections may appear; they bear witness to the handmade work.

Clean gently with a microfiber cloth, without applying any product directly onto the piece (put it on the cloth instead). The pieces are not 100% watertight: do not immerse them, and do not leave them hanging outdoors for long periods.

Do not hang the geometries above people's heads in living spaces. Favor a spot close to a wall instead, or place them at head height.
